I don't know what the printer cost to cartridge cost ratio should be, but 43% seems high. Men know how Gillett gives away a razor and then charges $20 for a dozen blades. The same applies to inkjet printers. Luckily there are suppliers who offer cartridges with a share of about 15%. In any case, I had to buy this cartridge because HP, in its boundless greed, included a chip with the cartridge and non-original cartridges without a chip do not work. So now every time I put in a new aftermarket cartridge I have to use tweezers to transfer the chip. This is very petty from HP. I have had HP printers for over 40 years. I used to be very, very fond of HP, but not anymore. The quality has noticeably decreased. Wifi is problematic and the drivers suck. They made their name with printers and they should have stopped there. It seems they have focused on other devices at the expense of their printers. Now they do everything second rate.
