This wonderful product does the job perfectly. I've used it to get rid of about 30 flies in less than an hour (I've never been a tennis player and that skill seems to come in handy with this product). The zapper had two layers of metal, one to protect against insects and the other to protect the user. There are two things to note; 1) When the outer metal comes into contact with the inner metal area, the lightning arrester arcs (to solve this problem, just bend the outer layer away from the inner (the layers are like wire mesh) and 2) sometimes when the bug is big, he will really catch fire and smoke. To solve this problem, just tap (gently) on the lightning to release the dead bug. Final comment: the larger size is a must. Unless you're Billie Jean King, the momentum of the swing is most likely affecting your aim. Therefore, it will be doubly difficult for a smaller model to hit the bugs.
