I live on the second floor of an apartment building. I have used Magliner hand trucks in my work for many years. This Magliner HMK111AA15, now retired and aging, has enabled me to lift heavy things up stairs. It works well on my carpeted hallway stairs and I myself have lifted 115 pounds with it (well below its rating). When it's empty it's light, I usually carry it to where I need it and roll it with the load. If you need a handcart in your personal life, I recommend this one.
