I was looking for string lights to hang in a dark closet to provide clear general lighting. These seemed good enough, inexpensive options. However, the light is so uncomfortable when hanging and plugging in that I unplugged them immediately. The tone is an oddly desaturated white that made everything look washed out and unattractive, but still not enough to be seen. Worse, flickering - the lamps have a humming, inferior buzz, like the worst fluorescent lamps. Looking directly at them hurts the eyes, and it gave my closet a general horror show feel, as if the haunted poltergeist TV was the only light source. For outdoor holiday decorations, these lights may suffice as they are technically lightweight. LEDs also save energy, which is great. But for any use where eye comfort and visibility are the goal, look elsewhere.
