This is the third time I have had to replace the left fan on my 2011 17" MacBook Pro, the first time the right fan. These fans are very quiet compared to original and previous replacements. There other interchangeable parts are due to noisy squeaky bearings I have high hopes for these Padarsey blocks with maglev bearing hangers but for the price if I get a few years of this it will be a good investment given their reasonable cost.Use both fans while you have your case open and exposing both. Full instructions on how to replace these fans with new ones are available online. You will need a few (inexpensive) tools and reasonably good eyesight, to make the switch. I suggest at least watching a video of the process on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-PQAVxSSr4> before starting on your own if you haven't already. It's better not to start a replacement than to be stopped halfway because you don't see what to do or if you break something.
