Small size. Cheap. Reasonable build quality. OK, loyalty. Loud enough. For: Adding cheap, decent sound to a computer monitor without speakers. Not for: Listening to high-bitrate, high-fidelity streaming audio at high volumes. (You'll have to shell out a little over $10 for this.) Home theater speakers aren't like that. They are powered via USB, but the audio signal comes through the 3.5mm AV socket. Keep the speaker volume at maximum. Control the volume with your device or software. Decent low profile speakers for the money. Met my expectations.
