Similar to OEM but inexpensive for a reason

If you're looking for these fog lights then you're dealing with GM's fragile brackets that tend to break on 2000-2006 model year trucks. .in my case a 2006 Suburban. I bought them mainly because of the price. There are a lot of comments about the lenses not fitting on the base, the springs being a bit light and I would like to add that the piston seals are not too tight. You must also use/reuse OEM mounts. The bulbs that come with it work well but not that bright. For all of that I gave 3 stars. However, with a little ingenuity, you can turn them into a decent string of lights. I added some washers to tighten the springs. A little sealant around the lantern/base will help keep water out and a better quality rubber o-ring to improve bulb seals can fit snugly around it. Once installed, the lights look just as good as the originals. It's too early to tell how they'll perform, but for the price, it's not a lot of money to replace them in the future if needed. Would I buy them again? May be. Otherwise, if they hold up despite the flaws, then I might be worth paying a little more for a better quality set.
