Cheap plastic, hard to tell if they are on or not (recommended to buy a pair with visible light on the earpiece) This pair has a tiny light spot, the power button is not easy to distinguish from other buttons so my daughter never turns them off when he is done with work which causes them to always be dead. I recommend buying a pair with a real switch. They also don't fold, which is pretty inconvenient for storage and basically makes them useless for travel. I regret the purchase and will likely make these headphones our replacement.
