I got this because we get big boxes of cereal from our local S club. We also get granola, which comes together in two 24-ounce boxes. However, the only way to fit the contents of a 24 oz box of H-Nut Cheerios was to eat the bowl first, then shake and pat the rest to fit in one of these containers. So they're probably perfect for small 12-ounce cereal boxes, but not for the average 24-ounce family, or any two 55-ounce bags. Other flakes may be suitable due to their denser size to weight ratio, but not "O" flakes or puffed flakes. I couldn't use them in our cereal so I used them in flour which was great for a 5lb bag. Printing is good, but the main cover is a bit difficult to attach. The spout looks good and is easy to open and close. But since I'm currently using flour, the flour sticks to the top after I put it in, so I have to open the main lid and measure out the flour that way to reduce the mess. Back to the tricky main lid, which requires some fiddling to align with the top edge of the main containers. I didn't return them because I will eventually find a use for them. happy with these IMO. However, I'm still looking for REALLY BIG containers like these with square holes to fit our family cereal.
