I ordered these because the kids always left cereal boxes open. It was fantastic! No more stale muesli. I wish they were a little bigger. I got this because we get big boxes of cereal from our local S club. We also get granola, which comes together in two 24-ounce boxes. However, the only way to fit the contents of a 24 oz box of H-Nut Cheerios was to eat the bowl first, then shake and pat the rest to fit in one of these containers. As most people have commented this is a very good container at a very good price. I recommend it. Just note a few points that are not immediately covered: 1. The lid will deform and no longer become airtight if heated too much (e.g. in the dishwasher). Although washing is not usually required.2. This type of plastic, especially the lid part, breaks more easily than others if you press a little harder than usual. 3. I'm glad I have both medium and large sizes. The large one is small but holds more than a standard 11.5-inch high cereal box; The environment doesn't seem to fit in the standard box. Large is about 2/3-3/4 of a full packet of large cereals, maybe no more than half if they are denser like Cheerios. It doesn't fit in an entire "family sized" box, but we use multiple boxes, multiple bins, so that's debatable. Finally solved a problem with short kitchen shelves causing us to put boxes on their side
