Great for little hands or short shelves

I'm glad I have both medium and large sizes. The large one is small but holds more than a standard 11.5-inch high cereal box; The environment doesn't seem to fit in the standard box. Large is about 2/3-3/4 of a full packet of large cereals, maybe no more than half if they are denser like Cheerios. It doesn't fit in an entire "family sized" box, but we use multiple boxes, multiple bins, so that's debatable. Finally solved a problem with short kitchen shelves causing us to put boxes on their side causing spills almost daily when 4 kids were digging and inside pockets were badly sealed. Now we can store all the cereal right side up - or turn it upside down at high speed depending on the child - plus our 7 year old daughter has a much better grip and is able to pour her cereal without spilling anything (with low grip strength). . It's also nice to see when we fall. I put goldfish crackers in one of the remaining ones, although I'd be interested to see how good the larger pieces would look; large bran flakes pour beautifully. Good thing the lids stay open for pouring. They close tightly and a 7-year-old child needs little force of the pliers to open them. The contents are at least as fresh as the original packaging, I suspect much drier in our humid marine environment; much neater; and no (ugh) silverfish or other critters. Narrower at the bottom than at the top, which may sacrifice about a quarter of a cup, but it helps with traction.
