True OEM quality definitely shows!

I am absolutely confident (as a car engineer and mechanic with many years of experience) that this part will be great for a very long time. Both the good and bad news is that it exactly matches the original OEM part. , also manufactured by Denso. The original ran flawlessly for 130,000 miles, which I attribute to Denso quality and Honda's strict technical standards, which I have extensive experience with. I blame Honda for the bad news. The inside diameter of the heat shield "can" is too small and the standard O2 sensor socket will not fit. So to remove the original part I had to cut the wires so I could place the standard thinner wall low over the hex and pull the part out. This, of course, led to a whole new problem of how to tighten the new part. I took an old stock part, clamped it in a vise and clamped the sensor cylinder over the heat shield glass with large channel locking pliers. . I was able to apply a lot of torque without the barrel bouncing. This gave me confidence that I could anti-seize the OE part threads, break them in, and finally tighten them the same way. I rode it to quite a bit of torque with confidence and no issues. The success story is only possible because I didn't buy a cheap aftermarket "equivalent". Quality matters.
