OEM is the only way

Buy this custom sensor to fix your check engine light problem. After trying two aftermarket sensors, I spent a little more on the original sensor, the CEL went away and didn't come back. Don't be stingy, Hondas are a little picky about their gauges.

Saved me over $200 on good lighting and electrics

Easy to install and save over $200 Perfect for 2008 Honda Civic. Just make sure you buy the right tool it cost me $9 and watch the youtube video. Wow! I can't believe I did all this myself. The place of work charged 320.00 plus VAT.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Good but not great

Poor design is best for sensors

Like other reviewers, you can't use a regular touch wrench because the heat shield blocks access to the nut. I had to destroy the old one to remove it and carefully tighten the new one with pliers. So far no problems. I replaced both O2 sensors during setup - spark plugs, air filter, cleaned the MAP sensor, etc.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some issues

True OEM quality definitely shows!

I am absolutely confident (as a car engineer and mechanic with many years of experience) that this part will be great for a very long time. Both the good and bad news is that it exactly matches the original OEM part. , also manufactured by Denso. The original ran flawlessly for 130,000 miles, which I attribute to Denso quality and Honda's strict technical standards, which I have extensive experience with. I blame Honda for the bad news. The inside diameter of the heat shield "can" is too small…
