I installed a new ceiling fan this year and the remote made the lights buzz loudly. This annoyed me so I tried another module from the hardware store and the hum was worse. I found that the buzzing was caused by the module's dimming function. Dimming is a feature I don't really use, so I figured I'd get rid of it altogether. I went back to the hardware store and couldn't find a module that didn't dim so I found this module at Revain. Generally decent. The actual module is smaller than what I was able to find at the hardware store, making it easier to install the flush mount fan. The biggest downside I can find is that when turning the light on and off you can hear the relay in the module clicking. Sounds almost like a blinker. On any given day, one click is enough for me to have a constant hum, but it would be nice to have a quiet fan.
