It took two years for the top string to break. I emailed the seller a week ago to see if it can be repaired at all but got no response. After about ten uses, the retractor becomes sluggish and never fully returns unless you fiddle around. with it and slide it in. But it protects my dashboard from the sun and it's a bit cooler in the car. Maybe 30 degrees at 105 heat? The fabric did NOT dissolve, and there were small crystalline silver particles on the dashboard and floor, as is the case with foldable fabrics. If I ever buy a new car I will 100% fit this.
