I'll let you know if anything changes but I've just received it and I'm very pleased. I was concerned that it would be heavy (it isn't) or too stiff to use with a martingale collar, but I can wrap it around my dog's chest and thread it through his martingale collar and it doesn't seem to bother him. I really wish it was 6ft instead of 5ft - the only other option was 10ft - simply because I wrap it around it. But he's not a big dog (26 lbs) so it works. I see a chatty dog biting the cover, but I can't imagine him chewing on the wire underneath. And some people say that the handle is uncomfortable or the leash is not easy to grab to tame an excited dog, but I didn't think it was true. If your dog was particularly large and strong, it might be harder for him to hold the leash himself (not the handle), but it would be harder for most people who walk their dogs in parks or around neighborhoods and sometimes need to pull them back , this leash works great.
