I bought this for my husband's 50th birthday photo shoot. Everywhere we tried to put it, something showed up through that dot. You can't hang in front of the windows - even with the curtains closed, too much light comes through (the pattern of the curtains shines through. I tried it on WITHOUT a background, and it was translucent. So it was a bummer. Another thing was that it was quite small. The way the photo shows it mounted on the machine makes it appear larger than it is. It must be hung very low and against a very dark background. Unfortunately I was not able to use it .I'm jealous of all the 5 star reviews because my experience was HORRIBLE.
