A few weeks ago my automatic transmission hub failed. It is very similar to this for the transfer case. I should have just bought a few and replaced them all on my 2007 JKR, but. Three weeks later I go out to the track and put the 4WD on and the shifter just dangles. Eh, that jack under the console refused. So I ordered four of these and replaced both the transfer case bushing and the shift bushing and I have a few spares. Too cheap not to leave too much. I hope they are made from a more durable material but time will tell. And as others have mentioned, put it on the end of the cable first! A little soapy water helped.
