Works for NVME PCIE 3*4 drive.
I have an i7 8750H processor. I used this external enclosure to clone all my SATA to an external SSD. I have Thunderbolt 3 (USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C). Cloning was successful with Crucial (Micron) NVME PCIE. Cloning SATA to PCIE NVME drive took about 5 minutes.
