Works but does not provide adequate protection

Options were limited to Boys 7 Pad Pan. Bought these for my two boys as they wanted one with built in knee pads (have used 5 knee pads over the last few years). Each pad is a small, thin piece of foam. It would have been better if the hip and thigh pads were a bit larger and thicker, like the Nike and Under Armor 5 griddles we've used before. One of the boys was hit in the thigh because he caught a spike on his thigh during the grab and the thigh pad was too small to protect him. Hopefully we can accommodate a small adult next year so we have more options.
