I love this mouse. I have an old version, I bought a second one for my stepson. However, this new version has much worse documentation and software than the old one, despite obvious attempts to 'update' it. 1) THE MANUAL MUST HAVE A UREL TO DOWNLOAD THE DRIVERS. The older version came with a CD containing mouse drivers. The new one doesn't. That's good in itself, but the "manual" that comes with it doesn't have a URL where you can download new drivers. All you have to do is google "redragon drivers". And you need to make sure you choose the right website for your country as drivers can vary. 2) THE MANUAL MUST CONTAIN INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE DRIVERS. After downloading the new driver, I was initially impressed with the software update. Only my settings are not applied to my mouse! The only reason I bought a programmable button mouse! After much disappointment I checked out the Revain reviews to see if anyone else had this problem. One of Redragon's support answers mentioned restarting the computer after installing the software, which I didn't do (AS THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS TO DO THIS). This solved the problem. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS MOUSE (since Redragon doesn't have one): 1. Go to redragonusa.com/downloads2. Download driver for "M901 - New Version" 3. Extract the .rar file with 7-Zip (free) or any other RAR.4 archiver. Run the resulting .exe and install the software.5. RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.6. Open the Redragon Perdition Gaming Mouse.7 application. Choose the settings you want.8. Click Apply.9. click OK. Also note that if you go to the task manager and find the mouse program, the name of the program is "TODO:<file description>". Bad quality control. Another minor complaint is that the mouse highlight colors can be changed, but the scroll wheel color is always different from the rest of the mouse, which looks a bit silly. I'm not worried about playing games, but if you want to build a "very cool" gaming rig I wouldn't recommend going with this mouse. Aside from the lack of instructions, this is a fantastic quality mouse. by price. I would choose it over Razer or any other gaming mouse anytime. The buttons are responsive and easy to press, and the buttons' small corners make it easy to find the right button. The original mouse I bought is still working a few years later. Highly recommended as a good buy.
