I have a problem with discoloration of my jewelry. I think it's a chemical reaction with something in my body. Make sure you rinse the sponge often and keep applying fresh dabs of the product. Sit down and clean the fittings and fasteners. This requires some elbow lubrication, but it's worth it. I would say it worked 85% of the time.
