This time lapse camera is pretty cool. I've done time lapse in the past but it has always taken a bit of work to get it right, whether it's a waterproof case around my camera or a lot of post processing work to get the right effect the way I wanted the time lapse to be seen. .This camera really simplifies the process incredibly. This allows you to create time slots that are still images at different time periods or stitched moving images (I haven't tried this) and it's easy to do once it's set up. For my test in my living room, I set the date and settings, and then all I had to do was turn it on for that mode, close the camera, and trust it to work as intended. A week later I was able to open it, turn it off, and then watch the time-lapse in my living room for a week. It was fun to see my kids make a mess and be magically picked up at the end of the day to help clean up. It almost has an attachment point on the bottom and then it's waterproof so it can be easily positioned where needed. I wish it had a few extra features like rechargeable batteries and Wi-Fi support that lets you stream the camera if you want to use it as your main live camera. It's also a real shame there's no night vision as an option, as it would have made for some interesting time-lapses. Overall this is a good camera and it does its job well. 12 AA batteries might seem a little crazy, but I think the batteries should last a year or more when shooting at certain settings, so swapping them out too often will definitely not be a problem. I would recommend it if you need to use it.
