This was my second attempt to find a bike seat to fit my full suspension mountain bike. The first attempt was mounted on a steering wheel, but failed due to steering interventions. Obviously most racks will also be problematic due to the configuration of my bike. But this one worked like a charm. Easy to assemble; easy to remove. Feels secure but has a bit of spring which probably makes the ride better for the kid. A lightweight. Safe dishes. Easy to pick up and drop off the child. I was a little concerned that the body straps might not be secure enough. But it turns out that's not a problem. There, Munchkin is safe and happy. Love the leg straps and the foot/leg configuration. I like the fact that the leg straps keep her legs in a protected area; both in terms of not kicking me in the back and in terms of safety. When installed it sits about the same height as my seat, which works well. The carrier is mounted high enough away from moving parts that I didn't have to worry about her standing up. But as far as crash protection goes, I like the side protection. I was convinced to try this particular model as a previous review mentioned that the bike had fallen with a child strapped in and apart from the fear the child was fine in part due to the side leg guards. found my inner thighs rubbing on the clamp a bit. Someone with less toned hips may not have this problem. It's not enough to cause much abrasion, although I did experience a bit of saddle pain at first for a couple of days before the leather hardened a bit. Basically, it's not annoying enough to disrupt my normal 16-30 mile trips, but I could see removing the mount if I'm going on a 50+ mile trip or a long trip without our little one. Last but not least, she loves to ride back there. I am very satisfied with the seat and can only recommend it.
