I bought this makeup palette organizer. I have them on the shelf so they are easy to pick up and use. I prefer acrylic because it allows me to see my palettes at a glance. So I will use them! I use the mDesign Household Storage Organizer for DVDs with medium transparency for my large zPalettes, but they don't match my palettes very well. This product is near perfect for my purposes. Packed was good, like all previous Alegors. Each piece is completely wrapped in foam. This has traveled abroad without damage. The base is thick acrylic unlike some cheap products I've seen. I was able to lift it fully loaded and the base was solid. The base measures 10" x 5 5/8" x 5/8" (LxWxH). It's slightly flared/beveled at the edges to prevent tipping. It comes with 11 dividers that aren't as strong like the base but thick enough for their purpose, 4 3/4" (width) x 3 9/16" (height) x 1/8" (depth). The dividers are shaped like a crescent at the bottom, merging into the same shape at the base. They are stuck and once in place are a bit difficult to remove. I made a small tear on the edge of a divider when trying to remove it. A distinctive feature of this organizer is its ability to accommodate thicker pallets. My UD Vice2 is too thick for any other organizer and usually stands alone. You determine which slots you want to use. So if you need a wider opening just use the next slot. Each opening between the baffles is 1 1/4 inches wide. I like that the product is well constructed so that the baffles are straight up and not flimsy or flexing in the slots. Good for an OCD person like me. suitable for different pallet sizes. Because the dividers go into the grooves and troughs of the base, the holes are slightly deeper than the divider's height at 3 9/16"; the overall height is actually 3 13/16". If you want the item to fit in The opening created by the base and baffles should be less than 4 5/8 inches wide. I have to turn my tartlet pallets on their side as they are too wide to sit flush with the base. The rest of the pallets will sit I've included a picture to illustrate this. This is an aspect with which I am not satisfied. Another downside is that there are small circles from the manufacturing process in each corner. This does not affect the use of the product, but may cause visual impairments for those who notice such things. You can use this for almost any purpose that requires vertical storage of items.
