I love this kettle. Much better than my previous one with touchpad and temperature settings. This Chefbar kettle is very simple and has an on/off switch. No annoying noises or noises during operation or after heating is complete. Also on the side there is a warm up button but I don't use it. The black surface of the kettle is very easy to clean compared to stainless steel. Inside the kettle there is no protruding thermometer or water level indicator like other kettles, making it easy to clean. The only sound you will hear is water bubbling and boiling. My two criticisms of the kettle are that if you hold it by the lid, the handles when pouring, the steam escaping through the seams of the lid can burn you, which is why I keep the handle lower. Opening the lid to refill the kettle while it's still hot can also cause hot water droplets to drip off the lid onto your hand, so I usually open the lid while standing on the counter, tap the lid to catch the water drops to remove, then take the kettle. Kettle to refill.
