At first I didn't like these lamps. They didn't look blue to me compared to the garlands on my Christmas tree. However, one day I hung them outside and at night saw that they were blue. Really nice blue. I tried to take a picture but it's just not true. They look very pretty and I've grown fond of them. It rained a few times (now what Phoenix calls rain) and there were no problems with damaged lights and we did nothing to protect them. Now I am happy with my purchase. I'm glad I gave them a chance and didn't send them back. My only constructive comment is setting it to flicker, not flicker, they flicker like a club party or something. Some may like it for a Christmas flair. I leave mine on.
