I haven't played golf since I was 24 and now I'm 60 and a friend invited me to play because our bowling alley was closed due to COVID. I decided to try some old racquets I bought from a store 12 years ago. I wasn't very good with my irons no matter how much I practiced. Then I started exploring the new racquets available, watching videos, reading reviews and decided to try a hybrid. My friend has some really good clubs (famous brands and expensive ones) but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a name and be disappointed that hybrids don't work better than irons. I found this Lazrus hybrid and read the reviews and the price was great for me to start with. I bought this Hybrid 6 in black (I just love the color 😎) and when it arrived I was impressed with how well made, looks and balanced it is. I couldn't wait for the snow to melt so I went out and used the simulator at our local community golf course. When I first used it, it just felt right at home in my hands, firing about 20 shots at an average distance of 150 yards with varying degrees of draw and release. I would have been happy with all of that on a course at my age. The snow melted and the track was open. Used it for the second shot on the first hole, swung about 165 yards to the pin and it was a delight. I hit about 155 with some decay and chipped 15 yards to the right of the green. I was impressed! Then I used it on the par 3 (par 3 is my enemy) for 175 yards. Usually I either hit the ball too long or hooked the ball into the bunker, but this time it was a straight shot as the wind blew it to the right. Landed on the green for the first time since I started playing again in September and he rolled leaving me at a 12 foot. I won't go into the details of my terrible putting until I buy a new club 🤣. I love this racquet and have now ordered a 3hybrid from them and am hoping to get the same results as with this racquet. If you are looking for reasonably priced, well-made, great hybrids look no further than Lazrus. I hope they decide to release a driver because I will definitely try!
