The blue and black one has a grippy texture to keep it from sliding but the lighter color one did not. Used some double sided tape to keep it secure. Its pretty long with the intention that the cushion will also keep it in place. So you can drop it lower to the floor or higher up for easy reach. Fits an 12.5 in ipad pro in one pouch and an xbox controller in the other (with room to spare) plus some toy mice (for the kittens) and remote controls. Overall happy with purchase. Also super happy I got the beige one without the black trim!
