I didn't buy this for post-op use but to wear as a layer between my breast stabilization band and Enell sports bra so the band doesn't cut into my skin. This bra offers good, comfortable support on its own and would be nice to wear on its own. However, it fits perfectly between my band and skin and is part of my main mashing system to keep my 34DD chest from bouncing vertically during workouts. I have a lot of "bulk" in my breast tissue, not just fat in my boobs, and am trying not to have "sweepers" or need a lift anytime soon. I ordered a large and it fits well (I have a 30" underbust, 36" bust). The straps have a unique adjustment system that fits well but was a bit tricky. You have to twist and wiggle to get the hooks out. Be sure to adjust them if you are not wearing a bra. Otherwise highly recommended as a comfortable additional stabilizing layer for well-fitting double sports bras.
