I bought two of these nets to wrap around the spiral staircase (leading up from my basement entrance) in preparation for my niece's 18 month visit child-unfriendly home for Thanksgiving weekend. The nets themselves are well made and can definitely hit. However, the installation of nets is a tedious process as each thread and ribbon must be passed through the net (the cords in particular are difficult to thread through the net as they are roughly the same diameter as the holes). on the grid). To really have peace of mind, I felt I had to attach the net to each handrail (my handrails were about 9" apart) both at the top and bottom of the net, but the cords provided don't secure as tightly as zip ties and The package didn't have enough zip ties to secure both the top and bottom, I ended up having to buy another bag of zip ties from Home Depot to secure the mesh (I did). Use ropes to attach the top to the rails as shown but this wasn't really necessary with zip ties along the top and bottom of the net.) But - once the net was in place it was perfect for my needs . My niece was able to hobble it around without her parents (or I) having to worry about the stairs!
