We have a fairly large dog - she is about 90 lbs or so. And she sheds like crazy. The vacuum itself is not as noisy as a regular vacuum cleaner but can startle the dog. I found that the suction is not much but perfectly fine for grooming the dog. We really like all the attachments that come with it. The brush one, for example, can be used without even attaching to the vacuum. We were able to get a lot of hair off quickly and then with a push of a button, all of the hair can fall into the trash can.It also comes with attachments for nails and they all attach easily to the vacuum. Overall, this is a really nice grooming kit.
