Unreliable in office electronics

This review replaces the previous two. Now that I have more experience with this product, I've changed my mind several times and ended up with my original unreliable review. After more than a month of use, I have found that the product remains unreliable even after reconfiguring the alarm units. , as described later. Alarm units tend to drift and often need to be reset. When the button is pressed, the light turns on, but the signal is not received by the unit that issues the alarm. I found that I could fix this by reconfiguring the signal device, so I changed my original review as I thought the problem was solved, but it wasn't. The alarms kept going off and had to be reset, so I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone who needs a reliable way to call for help. Here's how to reset the alarm if you have this product and want to fight it. and not to take something more reliable. If you open the switchboard (the one with the button) you will see a small piece of plastic near the battery. There is a small screw at the top and a coil inside. The screw appears to be a way to adjust the inductance of the coil, which likely controls the frequency of the clock driving the circuit. I found turning the screw makes the device much better. So if you're having an issue with the light coming on when you press a button, but nothing happening on the receiving end (i.e. no ding-dong), this is what you should try. Turn the screw a little and try. Turn it on a little more and try. If that doesn't work, try removing the screw. At some point you should be able to. This is a fairly crude way of building the circuit, more like a holdover from the 1950s, but the rest of the circuit looks relatively modern. My general recommendation is to buy something else.
