Casablanca fans. With one word. They are better.

Casablanca fans. In a word, they are the best. This model is exceptional. The sleek monocoque hull reminds you of a stingray found in the ocean or a stealth bomber. The LED lamp and housing look like an eye from a Star Trek capsule. The body is made of stainless steel and the blades are made of plastic, making them strong and light. The powerful DC motor ensures very quiet operation. Casablanca fans are known for years of reliable use, which is why they come with a lifetime warranty on the motor and a one-year warranty on parts and electronics. I switched my whole house to LED lights because they last almost forever and use the least amount of electricity, and this model 59144 comes with an additional LED lighting kit. It doesn't stop there. The remote control offers 6 fan speeds. It also has a dimmable light as well as a reverse function right from the remote control. If you prefer no backlight, a non-light cap is included. Includes 9" lower stem. Optional 36" lower stem is also available. You also have the option of flush mount for flush, normal, or canted mount. When installing, make sure you check it install in a box designed to support a fan and not just a ceiling light box.It must be mounted either directly to the ceiling joist or to a fan mounted junction box which is then attached to the ceiling structure. If possible and you have For example, accessing from the attic, it's best to install a 2x4 wood cross brace between two ceiling joists, for example. If your ceiling pitch is more than 34 degrees, you'll need a corner mount kit.The beauty of ceiling fan designs, like this one, is that they include a bracket that which attaches directly to the ceiling and is designed as a mounting cup with one side open, this allows you to lift the fan so that the pear-like end is over the lip and lower it into the center of the bracket. Because it's down and open, you can easily access your wired work while it's in place. It is recommended to have or buy a good power tester to make sure the power is off when you flip the switch. The Fluke model is exactly what you need. It is relatively inexpensive and the preferred choice of professionals. The installation guide is pretty simple. Luckily, the instruction manual that comes with it not only includes graphic images for each step, but also written instructions in each section and right on each drawing/photo. If you have any questions, the 800 number is printed right in the manual where you can contact technical support. It is recommended to install this fan at least 30 inches from the nearest wall and 7 feet from the bottom of the blade to the floor. The distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the wing is 13" when flush mounted and 19" when standard mounted with the included 9" flush bar. Some of the pole length is absorbed by the body etc., so it only adds another 6 inches to the overall height. To show you how efficient this fan is, it only draws 6 watts at low speed while delivering 3,448 CFM for one minute. That's the advantage of a high-quality fan of this size. Even at the lowest speeds you get plenty of air movement. Medium speed delivers about 5,000 cfm with only 14 watts, while high speed delivers about 6,700 cfm with only 32 watts. Thus, the slow-motion setting offers the highest efficiency per watt at 616 cfm per watt. A slow-moving fan sets the mood. It not only lifts the mood with its air, but also creates a feeling of calm. Think of the movie "Casablanca" with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, yes it seems smooth.
