I bought this because my dog kept climbing out the front door and the last time I bought he was inches from being hit by a big truck. blocking my front door because my dog is an escape artist. He can only climb 3.5ft off the ground so we had to find something big enough that he can't jump over and they work very well and are very sturdy. The only problem I had was when I first received them. There is a thick plastic tie holding it together and I made the mistake of cutting it off before installing. DO NOT DO THAT. I should have read the instructions first. They won't be very versatile in another house when we move because there's really only about a 6 inch difference in width in where you want to place them, so you'll need to get a size for that space.
