This is our first season in these boots and we bought them to protect our feet from chemicals and ice/snow. If you don't go there barefoot, why should your pup? The paws were a little cold when the boots were removed, but the paws were dry! Success! Our little Catahoula is 40 pounds and we ordered a size 6 based on the reviews. Please note that you need to train your dog to wear them, it took several weeks, around 5 minutes, for each treat training session to ensure that putting on and wearing was a positive experience. Now she understands that boots mean treats and fun! We appreciate that their paws stay protected and dry! Thank you for making these affordable and good quality! UPDATE: 5/1/18 (Winter Season 2) These are the best dog boots I've ever had that have held up securely and lasted a long time! They only fell off once as I hadn't adjusted them as tight as they should when we received them. Please do not expect your dog to be happy about these foreign objects on their paws unless you take the time to make it a comfortable experience. The boots are now a reward as I initially put them on and off with treats. Now I'm just saying it's time to put on and take off your shoes and she knows it's a positive experience. They hold up well and protect their paws from chemicals and winter weather. They were a great purchase and we are into our second season with them!
