Curves and potentially dangerous

I was very happy with these bulbs! I designed an entire wall around these damn lamps, drilled holes in the walls for anchors, and was even late to pick up my son from karate class trying to install them. So the installation really wasn't too difficult. Remove the back plate, screw it to the wall, fix the lamp cover. But the placement of the ground screw will result in either the backplate not being flush with the wall or the lamp plate not being flush with the backplate. I was using it as a plug in light, so I could probably remove the ground screw, but if you're plugging it directly into your house's outlet, that might be a problem. The problem arose when I started assembling the lamp myself. As you can see in my photo, the frame of the lampshade is bent in such a way that it almost touches the bulb, which naturally makes the lampshade crooked and there is no (easy) way to straighten it. When I put everything together I saw that it was crooked in several places which made the whole thing wobbly. I was ready to dig into this because I love the look of them so much and then turned it on. The 3 way worked for me and I only had a couple of 3 way bulbs. Unfortunately the switch was loose so the light started flashing and I had to hold the switch just right for it to stop. I could probably handle a crooked lampshade, but I will not stock any product that could potentially short out and start a fire. In fact, considering the cost of these lamps, you don't have to deal with crooked parts or loose switches!
