Much stiffer steering

A little PIA to install, but not terrible. Lower the post and use a ball joint press or large C-clamp. Significantly improved steering feel

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Short instructions

Open Package - Rack and Pinion

Item has arrived and the package has been opened. I don't know if I have all the parts or if parts are missing. I bought it under the impression it was brand new but obviously it wasn't.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Will not fit all

2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab

They were a little tricky to install but they worked very well and made the steering much quieter and more enjoyable. They were installed on the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. crew cabin.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some issues

Easy ball joint press installation

Steering is stiffer and front suspension wobble is eliminated. A ball joint press made installation easier. Never took the strut off the truck, just lowered it and pushed it out, quick job.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • No instructions

Installation wasn't too bad, I removed the stand and used a sphere.

The installation didn't go too bad, I removed the steering rack and used a ball joint press tool to remove the bushings and install the new ones. The steering feel is slightly better, but for me it wasn't a huge improvement. I needed approval. The car installed was a 2002 2WD Sierra with 170,000 miles on it.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Secret

Revain install instructions obsolete

Daystar has confirmed this part number to fit my 2005 Chev Silverado 1500 5.3L Long Cab Pickup. However, the Revain installation guide says that's not the case. I installed them and they fit great. They're solid, so use some rubber lube to make the process easier. I used large C clamps to push the old ones out and push the new ones in, using a small 2x4 piece with a hole big enough for the bushing to fit in when it popped out. I didn't have to remove the stand. Remove the wheels to allow the…

Pros
  • Excellent fit for me
