Revain install instructions obsolete

Daystar has confirmed this part number to fit my 2005 Chev Silverado 1500 5.3L Long Cab Pickup. However, the Revain installation guide says that's not the case. I installed them and they fit great. They're solid, so use some rubber lube to make the process easier. I used large C clamps to push the old ones out and push the new ones in, using a small 2x4 piece with a hole big enough for the bushing to fit in when it popped out. I didn't have to remove the stand. Remove the wheels to allow the steering wheel to give way when maneuvering the trunk. Drive a few days when done to sort things out. Then decide whether you want wheel alignment. What is the difference in steering response? Factory bushings have cutouts on the sides so the rail moves back and forth as you turn. Test this (while parking) by having someone turn the steering wheel back and forth a little while looking at the pillar. Movement can be amazing. If so, then these jacks will help.

Pros
  • Excellent fit for me
Cons
  • No instructions
