Update 2020: I applied this in 2018. It still looks the same as the day I applied it on one of our main heat sources! ****** ********** Reading reviews of more expensive films, I chose the cheapest one. The price did not affect the quality ratings. I have to say that this cheap film is definitely worth the price. After wetting the pane with a spray gun, the matt pane coating literally sticks. Adheres to glass on contact. It's thick and does the job well, letting in light with a nice white glow. It also managed to tone down some of the unattractive pattern in my privacy windows. Sitting on couches about 10 feet away, the old drawing is barely visible. This drastically improved the look and glare from the sun. I am attaching a photo of one side with and without matte film.
