In reality they are lighter than in the pictures. My daughter wears a size 7 pants and I bought a 7-8 and they fit the drop perfectly. They are a bit long. They look like windbreaker material and sound fantastic. We bought them for the JoJo Siwa concert so it looks like they can at least handle it. I just received them so can't comment on durability. I would buy them again.
