I bought this little stand to use my computer while sitting in one of our comfy lounge chairs. It seemed a little flimsy until I fully assembled it, then it was pretty solid. You might want to check the dimensions as it didn't quite fit the armrest of our sofa which was very poor. We enjoyed using this table as a computer desk and as a food and drink tray in the TV room until my 130lb son decided to use this tray as an intermediate step from couch to couch. Despite weighing 250 pounds, the table top collapsed immediately. We were able to bend it back, but once the metal was bent it was only a matter of time before the stand failed completely. I thought about having it fixed at a local welder, but it's so cheap it's easier to buy a new one.
