I had the idea of running this lightbar with a 10 amp relay. According to the specification, the light is 126 watts at 12 volts, which is about 10.5 amps. That's too much for a 10 amp relay. Even if you calculate the output voltage of a car battery as 13.5 volts, that means 9 amps, but it's still close. I got the light tonight and even though my multimeter is supposed to only read 10 amps I decided to try and test it anyway because I figured it would be better to fry my multimeter than my car. I had a 12v 10 amp power supply connected to the light and my meter. I turned on the light and the meter read a rather paltry 2 amps. Using volts multiplied by amps we get 24 watts of power. 24 watts is about 1/5 of the advertised power, which is disappointing. I'll probably still use it and the fact that it's only 2 amps makes my switching decision easier. It seems quite bright, but if you're advertising a light of a certain wattage, I think it should be at least somewhere around that number.
