Put the light bulb in the lamp. The lamp socket is designed for an output of up to 60 watts. After about a minute I noticed that the socket itself was very hot. Before I could get it out, the vial exploded and spilled everywhere. When I finally managed to remove the bulb's base from the socket and clean the bulb's glass, I inserted a different brand bulb of the same wattage into the socket. No problem. Returning the remaining bulbs would not dare use any of these again.
