The main reason I bought this device is the built in speakers. Also, a larger monitor doesn't fit on my small desk. This 22" monitor is perfect for my needs. Excellent picture. Speakers are good. Volume cranks up really loud so shouldn't be a problem for the hearing impaired. Easy on/off with real buttons; not like those flush mounted buttons that are hard to see and use. The buttons are small but comfortable. My monitor didn't come with an audio cable for the speakers, probably because they don't know what type of connector the computer has. I got one at Walmart for less Bought as $6. Just plug it in and you're done.
