It is extremely difficult to remove!
I used these on a tiled mantel to hold a garland. I couldn't remove the hooks without pliers. I was so upset that they would damage the tiles. We literally had to use the point of a knife to get under the hook with pliers. After about 15 minutes they came off with a pair of tongs. I won't use this anymore!
