Review on 🚴 Maximize Visibility: BV Bicycle Light Set - Super Bright 5 LED Headlight, 3 LED Taillight, Quick-Release by Steven Lane

⁃ Repair of an old Cannondale 3.0 Criterium SR2000 road bike. I needed these safety lights as an essential accessory for twilight/night driving. ⁃ I also purchased a BV strap on the saddlebag to accompany this set of safety lights as my old saddlebag has outlived its usefulness. ⁃ An illustration showing how to attach the light to the bike is included in the safety light kit. ⁃ I bought 6 AAA batteries for 2 flashlights. The rear safety red light is powered by 2 AAA batteries and the front light is powered by 4 AAA batteries. ⁃ I opened the red safety light with a coin according to the illustrated instructions. ⁃ As for the rear red safety light, I attached it to my BV saddlebag and it matches perfectly with the fabric saddlebag handle which is very comfortable and looks like it was made specifically to attach a safety light. Since it is the same manufacturer, the lamp fits perfectly. ⁃ The reason I attached the rear safety red light to the saddlebag is so that the saddlebag occupies space where the red light bracket and accompanying red light should ideally hang. ⁃ The front bracket for the front light comes with 3 rubber grommets. On my bike I used 2 outer spacers. ⁃ To attach the front bracket, you must remove the nut attached to the screw. I used a small adjustable wrench to unscrew this nut. This nut is useful as it connects to the bolt holding the bracket on the opposite side. A tight fit is not possible without using this nut on the opposite side of the bottom mounting port. I have attached photos to show what I mean. ⁃ I used a CRV-PH2 screwdriver head to tighten the mounting screw. ⁃ After the front bracket was securely attached to the handlebars, I inserted the front safety light myself. At the end there is a reassuring click and he stays safe. To remove it, simply press the small "tab" on the end and it slides out. ⁃ When driving, the headlight sits firmly on the bracket and does not wobble. The red rear light is also firmly attached to the saddlebag. ⁃ The red light is bright enough at night to warn traffic and people behind you. ⁃ The front white light is also clear and shines about 500 yards (1500 feet, 0.3 miles, 0.45 km) in front of you. Probably not ideal for 45mph race speeds, but good enough for a decent twilight ride home. It is suitable for both completely dark rooms and residential areas with street lighting at night. ⁃ Various steady and strobe functions on both lights work well.
