Loud and sharp noise scares the dog
Tried to use it as a trainer but the CLICK it makes is so loud it startles or frightens the dog. Completely counterproductive. Opened it up (3 small Phillips screws, no big deal) to try bending or bending the spring steel to soften it, but no luck. In hindsight, I think I could have tried stuffing cotton balls in there to dampen it, but it's too late. However, as always, your best friend's mileage may vary.
