Negative reviews made me not buy this but I took a chance. Upon arrival all the screws, covers and bars were in the box, not in a bag or anything but just hanging around. Immediately I took the pieces out of the box and counted all the pieces to make sure it was right and wrong. There were some 6 silver mounting screws, luckily my local home center had them available. I immediately noticed that the mounting screws were silver and the bars were black. The Mind Reader should have included black screws for a more finished look. The instructions are completely wrong. The black covers go between the screw and the stand, they don't protrude beyond the stand at all. In other words, when assembling, take the fastening screw and put the cover on it, the cover has a small dent. inside is something that closes perfectly with the rod but doesn't come out. That's why some people say they ripped during assembly. Also, the stand is upside down in the picture, so you need to assemble it in reverse order. The long, curved poles are the legs. It looks like someone was dead drunk while writing this guide. After all this is put together, it looks beautiful. Not wobbly at all. Use some black spray paint to hide the mounting screws, which I'll do later. See the attached photo for the finished product. It fits easily on coats, scarves and hats. Now that I know how to assemble this one I'll get another one. Thank you Revain and Mind Reader.
