As a voice actor I have had an AT 2035 in my home studio for about 7/8 years. I loved it and it is made well by me. During the pandemic, I'm using my home studio more than ever. I decided it was time to upgrade the mic. After a long search, I decided on the AT 4040 and am very satisfied! The difference in sound is immediately noticeable. I seem to have the best preamp but I only have a Focusrite Scarlet! It has rich bass, crisp highs and ten times the range of the 2035. I highly recommend it! Especially for the money!
